How to Reset Service Light Skoda Octavia 1 model year from 1997 to 2004
Vehicles until 2000
How to erase OIL message - Change Oil service light:
- Press and hold button "A".
- Switch ignition ON.
- The letters "OIL" will appear in the odometer display of the speedometer.
- Release button "A".
- Turn button "B" to the right until the letters are erased and replaced by "-----".
How to erase INSP message - Inspection service
- Press and hold button "A".
- Switch ignition ON.
- The letters "OIL" will appear in the odometer display of the speedometer.
- Release button "A".
- Press and release button "A".
- The letters "INSP" will appear in the odometer display of the speedometer.
- Turn button "B" to the right until the letters are erased and replaced by "-----".
- If required clear the "OIL" indicator from the display as previously described.
- Press and hold button "A".
- Switch ignition ON.
- The letters "OIL" will appear in the odometer display of the speedometer.
- Release button "A".
- Turn button "B" to the right until the letters are erased and replaced by "-----".
How to erase INSP message - Inspection service
- Press and hold button "A".
- Switch ignition ON.
- The letters "OIL" will appear in the odometer display of the speedometer.
- Release button "A".
- Press and release button "A".
- The letters "INSP" will appear in the odometer display of the speedometer.
- Turn button "B" to the right until the letters are erased and replaced by "-----".
- If required clear the "OIL" indicator from the display as previously described.
Vehicles from 2000 on
- Switch ignition OFF.
- Press and hold button "A".
- Switch ignition ON.
- The word "SERVICE" will appear in the trip recorder display.
- Release button "A".
- Turn button "B" to the right to reset the display.
- Switch ignition OFF.
Vehicles on longlife service intervals can be reseted but this will result in the service interval indicator returning to fixed service intervals. To retain longlife service intervals the service interval indicator must be reset using suitable diagnostic equipment.
- Press and hold button "A".
- Switch ignition ON.
- The word "SERVICE" will appear in the trip recorder display.
- Release button "A".
- Turn button "B" to the right to reset the display.
- Switch ignition OFF.
