How to Reset Service Light Volkswagen Golf 5 model year from 2003 to 2008

Fixed service interval

Step 1: Switch ignition off
Step 2: Press and hold button "1" and switch ignition on
Step 3: Release button "1"
Step 4: Press button "2"

Longlife service interval

For longlife service intervals the service interval indicator must be reset with suitable diagnostic equipment

Vehicles on longlife service intervals can be reset using the fixed interval method but this will result in the
service interval indicator turning to fixed service intervals.
